On behalf of a leasing company, SCI Verkehr analysed the current market situation of diesel shunting locomotives and forecast future demands based on freight flows and areas of operation.

On behalf of a globally active supplier of operating materials, SCI Verkehr analysed the global installed bases of vehicles and switches. The data delivered were used for the strategic plans.

To support internal planning processes of an international supply company, SCI Verkehr provided data concerning the bus acquisition of 24 countries around the world. The analysis encompassed bus manufacturers, operators' current vehicle fleets, as well as orders. Additionally, the delivery and the country of origin were determined.

On behalf of an international financing company, SCI Verkehr has conducted an asset valuation of electric multiple units EMU, to be operated in Czech regional rail under PSO by a private operator. The market valuation is based on the SCI Database.

On behalf of a financier, SCI Verkehr assesses the current and future expected vehicle value of used diesel railcars. The valuation is carried out taking into account the cost-based RC valuation approach as well as including known used vehicle transactions and an analysis of the secondary market.

For the appraisal of a large rail vehicle portfolio, SCI Verkehr created a valuation method for the determination of secure asset values in close cooperation with the client. The method factors in the replacement value as well as the earning-capacity value of rail vehicles and serves as a basis for the complete portfolio appraisal.

Development of a concept with regard to content, structure and finance for a network of companies and institutions in the transport industry. The public client intends to assist the corporate activities in the Ruhr District and thereby make an important contribution to the positive development of the transport cluster.

In a feasibility study, SCI Verkehr has assessed the advantages and disadvantages of existing bus concepts for alternative drives (hybrid vehicles, plug-in vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles) and the infrastructure required for this. Against the background of this assessment, SCI Verkehr has derived a detailed procurement proposal for buses with alternative drives on behalf of an international transport company.

A leading European rail freight company has to reorganize itself completely in terms of profitability, efficiency and reliability. SCI Verkehr was commissioned to support the restructuring process actively and to bring in expertise in railway operation, processes and strategy. Focus is also put on close involvement in terms of co-determination .
Customer: Global player in the food industry
With the objective of realising rationalisation potential in distribution and warehousing, our client planned to consolidate three logistics sites into one central location near to production. In order to achieve this, the existing logistics site had to be restored using construction measures. SCI Verkehr as a neutral expert was involved in the decision-making process with regard to necessary investments and performed a cross checking of assumptions and calculations made. The expert's report focused on the personnel and investments required.
