On behalf of a rail industry manufacturer's work council, SCI Verkehr evaluated the current situation and future market development. By way of a portfolio analysis, demand and competition structures in the diesel locomotive business were analysed. At the same time, short or medium term demand projects were identified and their probability of implementation and success was evaluated. For this purpose, SCI Verkehr verified its own data base information with additional expert interviews.

An internationally operating investment company intended to strategically expand its existing financing volume of leasing locomotives. SCI Verkehr analysed selected European core markets and in particular evaluated future investment potential for alternatively-powered locomotives as well as for locomotives used for infrastructure works.

On behalf of a leading company in the fields of energy and telecommunication equipment, SCI Verkehr produced a detailed market overview of data relevant to rolling stock in order to support the strategic market analysis across the group.

SCI Verkehr was commissioned by a large operator in the German regional rail market to carry out an RC valuation of new DD-EMU. The assessment was carried out according to IVS 2022. A price benchmark for DD-EMU was also part of the valuation report.

On behalf of a financial service provider, SCI Verkehr prepares an asset evaluation of steel product railcars (coils). The evaluation is conducted by means of the cost-based DRC and, comparatively, the DCF method.

On behalf of a leasing company, SCI Verkehr updated a valuation from previous years with regard to current market developments and required traction to re-evaluate the possibilities for reuse of the assets.

In April 2018, the Competence Network Logistics.NRW was launched as an innovation and partner network of the state of NRW. The network's activities are strongly focused on the topics of innovation and digitalisation. SCI Verkehr organises all technical and organisational activities for the LOG-IT Club e.V. in close cooperation with the German Association of Transport and Logistics.

First, the cost reduction needs of selected rail infrastructure maintenance target markets were closely examined. In addition, recommendations were made for the market entry activities of an infrastructure maintenance service company were derived.
