The aim of the project is an independent analysis of the current situation and future development of the worldwide market for forged and cast wheels. The analysis assists the client in making a decision concerning whether or not to invest in additional production capacities. Asset valuation of used shunting locomotives

On behalf of rolling stock manufacturer, SCI Verkehr prepared an asset valuation of used heavy shunting locomotives. The valuation of the locomotives was carried out using the cost-based DRC method. In the process, technical and operational aspects (eg. LCC) as well as market environment and competitive situation have been examined. A focus was put on current modernisation and revision costs.

DCF valuation of European locomotive portfolio

For the refinancing of a rail vehicle portfolio, SCI Verkehr appraised different electric and diesel locomotives. The current market value of the locomotives used in Central Europe was determined with a DCF calculation taking into account the supply and demand situation.

BEMU market analysis

SCI Verkehr has conducted a market study on the topic of battery multiple units (BEMU) on behalf of a major European lessor. In particular, the supply and demand side as well as possible risk factors in the procurement of a BEMU fleet were examined. Part of the analysis is the consideration of re-deployment scenarios after 15 years as well as an explicit vehicle evaluation according to the IVS standard.
