Furthermore, the company plans to reorganize commercial departments. SCI Verkehr examined the plans and accompanied negotiations for a reconciliation of interests. On behalf of a financial investor, SCI Verkehr conducted a commercial due diligence on a globally active bus manufacturer. Focus was put on the analysis of future development potential of the core markets as well as the future expected competitive situation of the target. Moreover, a business plan entailing the assumptions of the management regarding the target´s development opportunities was examined.

On behalf of a European rail freight operator, SCI Verkehr appraised a fleet of diesel shunting locomotives. For this, SCI Verkehr analysed the supply and demand situation of the respective assets and carried out a cost-based DRC valuation to determine the current market value (FV and OLV).
Customer: Leasing company
In the context of purchasing four-axle diesel universal locomotives and six-axle dual mode mainline locomotives in Continental Europe, SCI Verkehr assesses the current market value of these vehicles. Evaluation is conducted by means of the income-based DCF method and includes a short documentation of methods, input parameters, market description and valuation results.

SCI Verkehr has developed a valuation model for a leading European rail vehicle financier that takes into account various vehicle performance parameters. This model is adapted to market conditions and input parameters are updated on a regular basis.

On behalf of Allianz pro Schiene, SCI Verkehr is analysing the importance of ecological-related decision-making criteria within the German competition market for short-distance passenger rail transport. For this, environmental criteria are going to be analysed with regard to completed awards of short-distance passenger rail transport services and their future importance.

On behalf of an investor, SCI Verkehr prepared a comprehensive market analysis for the maintenance of freight wagons. This included a review of the basic principles of maintenance, an analysis of the main trends and drivers in the market, an explanation of new technological developments and an overview of maintenance companies and their locations. A focus of the analyses was also the benchmarking of prices of maintenance periods for different wagon types and components, as well as their development.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, SCI Verkehr investigated the applicability of innovative drives for rail vehicles that run on non-electrified lines. In addition to economic efficiency, changes relevant to the environment (e.g. emission reduction) were also evaluated.

On behalf of an international transport company, SCI Verkehr took on the management of a project entailing reorganising the sales department. The project is aimed at developing a uniform sales organisation as well as professionalising the public image. SCI Verkehr supports the customer in organising the project and in terms of content-related sparring.

The works committee and logistics management of a global player in the food industry intended to initiate an open dialogue about the future optimisation of logistical processes with external support. By conducting talks with both sides, SCI Verkehr prepared the dialogue, hosted the meetings of a joint working group and provided specialist input with the aim of developing a common perception of the logistical future of the company.
