The strategic recommendation was based upon the product portfolio already existing, taking into consideration the railway companies, regional transport authorities and existing competitive products. As a result, a basic vehicle was defined which incorporates the main technical and economic success criteria for double-deck rolling stock.

On behalf of a globally active rolling stock maintenance service provider, SCI Verkehr analyses market potentials in the diesel locomotive segment. For this purpose, SCI Verkehr assesses operating fleets and the competitive situation in Europe.

On behalf of a leading rolling stock lessor, SCI Verkehr has analysed the supply and potential demand for new multi-system locomotives on various international European transport corridors. The analysis focussed on the additional demand from new rail transport with a focus on intermodal transport as well as the current and expected future equipment with ETCS on the corridors.

On behalf of a leasing company, SCI Verkehr assessed the Continental European rail freight market. The focus was on the analysis of the freight segments and the development of transport volume on European rail freight corridors.
Customer: International technology group
On behalf of a technology group, SCI Verkehr is creating a fleet and project data base. It will be programmed in SQL and includes all existing fleets and new rolling stock construction projects. Furthermore, awarded as well as planned new building projects will be listed. The customer will utilise this fleet and project data base for assessing its sales potential as well as its aftermarket sector.

SCI Verkehr investigated fair market prices as well as leasing rates for different types of freight wagons (for some types including safety equipment) in Europe. In addition, SCI Verkehr evaluated the freight wagon types regarding leasing opportunities.

In the context of planned financing of hopper wagons (covered hoppers) in North America, SCI Verkehr carries out a residual value appraisal for a German bank. Fair market value and orderly liquidation value are determined based on asset and market analysis.

On behalf of an investor, SCI Verkehr valued a fleet of modern used tank, intermodal and bulk wagons. The valuation of the wagons according to DCF and DRC methodology took into account the wagon-specific supply and demand situation.
Customer: International freight wagon lessor
On behalf of a freight wagon lessor, SCI Verkehr carries out vehicle assessment by means of the income-based DCF method in the context of an internal asset transfer of used pocket wagons in Europe. For this purpose, SCI Verkehr analyses leasing rates and the general supply and demand situation of comparable wagons.

Since the foundation of the LOG-IT Club e.V. in November 2002, SCI Verkehr has conducted the business of the association. This includes the support of the association committees, account management, budgetary control and acceptance of new members.
